The Noosphere, the thinking layer of Earth, grows
stronger as collective consciousness evolves. We are connected more than ever
to our sensor-filled world through the internet and this is expanding our
consciousness and strengthening the Noosphere. Intuit this in deep meditation.
James
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, (1881–1955) was a French philosopher,
Jesuit priest, trained paleontologist and geologist. Teilhard, in 1925, coined the term “Noosphere”, to demote the
mind-sphere or the mental sheath surrounding the earth above the biosphere, the
sphere of life. His vision of the noosphere was a
“transforming agency of hominization.” Julian Huxley preferred to think of the
noosphere’s role as a transforming agent for “progressive psychosocial
evolution,” rather than hominization.
